HELP!
this message board is GREAT! Although I have 15 years experience in the lending business, I am new to the mobile notary document signing side of the business. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips and SS's to sign up with that are reliable and pay within a reasobale time frame. Also, how do you get signings from title companies, escrow companies and major lenders...do they come from signing services or do you just contact them directly? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks.

The best agency I've worked with is First American Signature Services. You can sign up with them at www.signtrack.com. They usually pay within 3 weeks following a signing. Good people to work with.

FASS are nice people to work with, but cheap. When I went up to $65 for SS signings, they stopped using me. God knows what they'd do to me at my current rates; probably sic the dogs on me.

Advice for new notaries
Above the menu of posts, click the "First" button. Go all the way to the very first post in June 2003, "Welcome to the General Discussion Forum." Read all the way to the last post today. You will find your answer many times over in the intervening messages, along with far better information about being a signing agent than you ever got in your certification course.
