HP3380 printer

I think this printer is similar to all the HP 33* models. How often do you place a hole at the top right back end of the toner cartridge to get rid of the "used" toner? With a tool, I placed a hole on the top left front end of the cartridge and added toner for the 1st time. I have not yet placed a hole at the back end of the cartridge.

Also, where can I purchase empty toner cartridges for the best price?

I can't help with the first part of your message.
But, to respond to the second part, you can buy empty toner cartridges at www.tonerrefillkits.com. For the HP3380 the price of an empty cartridge is $29.95
Their toner refill is more expensive than www.tonerkits.com - $21.95 as opposed to $6.99, but they have great prices on empty cartridges.
