Hey Rouj

Are you going to the Maryland Land Title Associations conference in Ocean City this weekend? This is the best place to meet national and local title companies and attorneys, such as GAC. I do know that the Vice President of GAC will be there recruiting.
Also, being a licensed title producer in Maryland requires 6 hours of continuing education every year from the Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA). The credit courses are being offered this weekend. I will be there Friday and Saturday for 6 hours of credit classes (beginning at 7am, YUK).
I have an important meeting with a settlement company in Maryland on Saturday. He covers most of the state and pays $125 for the closings. I will pass your name along. I do know that he wants experienced closers but maybe he can give you a little business to help you get there.

Thanks for the heads up Loretta. Can't make OC this weekend. Hopefully next time. Would love to cultivate more relationships with title companies. I got my title license in May - so I have some time to get those continuing education credits. BTW my business was going gangbuster from the last week in August (week after I signed up on a number of signing website) through Sept 4th. But, I haven't gotten any new requests this week. Is this usual? Is the 2nd week of the month typically slow?

Hey there.
One week you feel the best that you ever have. You have alot of business and you are feeling on top of the world and the next week you think that everyone is mad at you, you have made a mistake on a closing and they will never use you again. Get use to that feeling.
The second week is ususally the slowest. The first week you are getting the overflow from last months closings that didn't happen and by the third week your schedule is getting full and you take a sigh of relief that you are okay and no one was really mad at you.

HaHa! That's exactly what I was thinking. "I hope I didn't screw one of these up and they won't use me again!" Good to know my schedule may begin to fill up by the 3rd week. I'll use the down time for more marketing activities. I took Sylvia's advice in her post to Newbies and called a couple of the companies I signed up with. Surprise, surpise one of them called me back for a signing by end of day. This stuff really work!
