I have had my notary commission for a while and am trying to get into the signing business. Am I required to get some sort of standard notary journal or can I just basically purchase a recording book? Also, what am I required to put in my journal?

This kind of posting, I think, cries out for a measue of bluntness.

If you do not know the answers to those questions, you are not prepared to function as a notary public and certainly not as a signing agent. For the welfare of the public you are supposed to serve, please do not take any notarial assignments until you have read AND absorbed the notary public handbook for your state.
