Please pray for us in florida

Just asking for some prayers for us here in Florida. Looks like we are going to get slammed by Hurricane Frances. I live a little ways up, but this one is going to be BIG. My brother-in-law and family have already been evacuated.
Thanks for your prayers!

As you evacuate, you might want to continue on westward and just relocate permanently in Texas. Hurricanes are rare in the Panhandle, and we could use something to dilute the influx of California sunbunnies.

Of course, the Panhandle does have tornadoes, dust storms, rattlesnakes, droughts, pavement hot enough to blacken your toenails...on second thought, you may want to stop at the Alabama line.

Semper fratres,

His Royal Hughness

We love new Arkansans also. If it is Hugh that is wanting you close, the particular town I live in is only 45 minutes from the Texas line about 3 hours from Dallas.

And we do not have tornadoes, dust storms, and very rarely snow. Aside from humidity feels like Florida around here, of course minus the massive hurricanes.

***Hugh states*** ...and we could use something to dilute the influx of California sunbunnies.

Hugh I am engaged to a "California Sunbunny" and have already told him we will live in my neck of the woods or he will be lonely.

Ok, Ok the truth, my Father who stills looks at me as his baby told the future husband that, but we will definately be staying in Arkansas. We even get to Dallas every couple of months.

Back on subject: I will definately remember you in my prayers as will the rest of our community. I don't know you from Adam, however if there is anything I can do besides pray, please let me know.

Directions to Texas

Head west until you smell what the lovingly refer to as "cow patties" and then turn either north or south until you are knee deep in them. Good luck to all you sunshine state NSAs.
My sister was evacuated from Lake Worth yesterday, and a friend in that area was installing hurricane shutters on his one week old house.
75 and sunny here, winds about 10 mph. January is a long way off.

Prayers have been said, and will continue for all of Florida. We have many friends and family who were lucky to be passed by on the last one. Looks like they may not be so lucky this time. Everyone stay safe.

We are getting ready to evacuate. This is a real bad one. We boarded up all the windows yesterday. My youngest daughter and her family left yesterday and are driving to my eldest daughter's in GA. We are going to head up that way too, later today (or tomorrow morning ). We will have to evacuate by tomorrow.
But they are mandatory evacuating the barrier islands first, so the roads out of here at the moment are jam packed.

Heavenley father, I pray for safety for all these people in Florida. Father I ask that you keep them secure. I pray that their homes may be saved and most of all their lives and those of their loved ones. Give them wisdom and peace during this time. I pray in the name of Jesus.Amen

My wife and I have been interceding in prayer-and many people all over are doing the same- our faith and trust is in "Him". He said "I will never leave you, nor forsake you; and lo I AM with you always. If you truly know Jesus- that is His promise! If you have not accepted Him, as your Lord and Savior, do so now-- that your prayers are not hindered.. Here in Jacksonville, we"ll be staying put, and preparing the best we can--- My grandson just called and said I-95 North is a "Parking Lot"- bumper to bumper- creeping and crawling along--.. So if your going to evacuate--leave in plenty of time to get thru- or you may be riding it out in your car on the interstate..

Re: Please pray for us in florida - Brenda

Anyone who does not get out of here is crazy!!!

I talked to one guy yesterday over on the barrier islands, and they are under mandatory evacuation. He said he is not leaving!! He is concerned about looters, and also if he leaves he may not be able to get back to the house for days after and there may be damage that won't be as bad if he is there to fix it!!

I am not worried about looters, there is nothing in this house worth risking our lives over. The irreplacable" items, photos of the grandchildren and of my parents, my citizenship papers, passports etc I am taking with us. Anything else is minor. And if there is damage - which I have no doubts there will be, then we have insurance and can rebuild.

Please be careful, you are probably going to get some of this too. Hopefully not as much as we are down here. (Palm Bay, next to Melbourne, Brevard county)

I am near Ft. Lauderdale and unfortunately we can not evacuate as we have 2 businesses located near here that we must look after. We have made all the preperations that we possibly can do and now we are just glued to the TV at every update. We have no doubt this is going to be a bad storm and we expect the worst, so where ever it does make landfall our prayers and thoughts go out to them especially. On a lighter note I was so surprised to have gotten a call today to do a signing! The call came from CA so maybe she was not current on what is happening here, but I politely had to refuse! Best of luck to all of Florida and everyone in Frances path.

I am in Pasco County. I understand that we are going to be hit. The eye of the storm will pass through us. I am a Christan and believe that God will protect us.
I have 2 families that will be with us through this storm. May God surround us with his power and light and pray that we make it through.
May God be with Vero Beach, the soon to be hardest hit, and surroundings counties.
The only thing we have to do is PRAY!!!!
I understand it is now a Cat - 3 Let us pray it continues to decrease in size!
Thank you for ALL you prayers!!!
I really mean that!!!
Pam
