Anonymous, Unless you can come out of the anonymous status, I am not inclined to give you any further assistance.
I am beginning to believe you are playing games with the rest of us. If I am wrong, please forgive me. Nonetheless, you are presenting yourself as either incredibly unprepared for being a mobile notary signing agent, or someone who thinks s/he's a lot smarter than the rest of us and being entertained by wasting our time.

Listen I thought about doing some edoc but I wasn't sure how to charge my paper size, now if I upset you then I am sorry but I wanted to make sure before I got one. And this was not an dumm question. Only an dumm question is one that is not ask ,s-o-r-r-y for your time and don't worry I will not ask not one more question bye

As I said before, you are either playing games, or incredibly unprepared to be a mobile notary/signing agent by your inability, or unwillingness, to write short statements in the English language that are remotely clear as to what you want to know.

I've read alot of bashing on this forum, I don't think it says anywhere in here that you have to state your name. Some keep their name under wraps just because they have seen the wrestling that goes on here. Seems the more I read of the "oldies" some just don't want any "newbies" on here. Some questions are not typed correctly, but if you want to be an english teacher, well the schools are in great need of then. If you can't be civil in the way you respond to someone on here, then just don't respond. We can go and get chewed up all day doing this work. So why be nasty to each other and ruin a good forum? Lots of luck Dawn B!

Communication, written and verbal is not only a big part of day-to-day living, but a major part of being an NSA -- pointing out that the posts are unclear has nothing to do with an oldie bashing a newbie.

NOW THAT WAS SOME GOOD ADVISE, CLBM

Regarding Your Post, CLBM:
"I've read alot of bashing on this forum, <<I don't see a lot of bashing myself, or I would not be here. There is a lot of honesty, and a lot of helpfulness, and encouragement to those who are really trying to get it together--bad writing or good.>>
I don't think it says anywhere in here that you have to state your name. <<Agreed.>>
Some keep their name under wraps just because they have seen the wrestling that goes on here.
<<But some also keep their names under wraps and post under false names because it's a trouble maker who only wants to start a thread like this one might be where lots of people just go bananas over the ensuing discussion and the quality of the forum is diluted.>>
Seems the more I read of the "oldies" some just don't want any "newbies" on here. <<What exactly do you base this on? I am sorry you feel that way. I generally post answers--if I know the answers. And, by the way, I do not consider myself so much an oldie, as a "middle-dy" I have a lot to learn.>>
"Some questions are not typed correctly," <<Agreed. But, it helps to have a little bit of clarity as to the question. Look at the way this poster is phrasing and responding. It tells me that this person is likely a troll/spammer and not a notary.
I still stand by my original assessment that it is either someone having a good time, or this is a person who is absolutely unable or unwilling to do what it takes to communicate so that they could get a few answers--I noticed you did not answer them, either.
Perhaps because you felt less in the mood to help, and more inclined to "wrestle with me" if that's what it is when someone disagrees, or perhaps, because it's hard to understand the question.
I do not believe they could clearly understand the questions and where to post, but they could not form questions or answers any better than they did--if they are reading this forum, they know enough to state the questions with better clarity. >>
"but if you want to be an english teacher, well the schools are in great need of then. If you can't be civil in the way you respond to someone on here, then just don't respond. We can go and get chewed up all day doing this work. So why be nasty to each other and ruin a good forum? Lots of luck Dawn B!"
<<Let's just think on this a minute...If it bothered me that you said this, does that mean YOU are bashing or we are "wrestling?" I, personally, do not think so. If this is your honest assessment of those of us on this forum who post frankly, then you are absolutely in your right to state such.
You say it is a good forum...and you are implying --if I understand your post, that I have been, in some way, a part of what might ruin it. I do not take offense, because that's your opinion. I just do not agree.>>
However, your overall point is well taken. I appreciate your honest assessment of the situation.

I meant to add that the reason I *know* sometimes there are spammers/trolls that post strange things here to engage the regular posters is because they do not log in and their IP shows up.
You can take that IP and find out with a little due dilligence where the person is actually sitting at their computer, and whether or not they have been banned from other forums for doing the same thing.

I did not answer the question because I do not have a lexmark printer, therefore not wanting to give the wrong answer.

***I did not answer the question because I do not have a lexmark printer, therefore not wanting to give the wrong answer.***
Printers come with operating manuals and also "read me" files which explain their operation. If the manual is not available, you can also google the internet and find tons of information on whatever you are looking for. It has become entirely too easy for someone to post "how do I" or "why is this happening" without even bothering to *try* to figure out the solution on their own. JMO.

You know, Carolyn, one of the things that tipped me off that this seemed bogus was that very thing. Lexmark has one of the best "read me" files out of any I have ever owned, and you can download those things straight form Lexmark.
I've been wrong a time or two, (;>) but I am almost positive it was just a hoax.

"It has become entirely too easy for someone to post "how do I" or "why is this happening" without even bothering to *try* to figure out the solution on their own. JMO."
It's not just your opinion Carolyn, I feel the same way. There are a lot of people in here who treat this as their personalized Google. It's one thing to ask questions that are specific to this job, but it's annoying as hell to see stuff like "can I use legal sized paper in my printer?" or "what are the requirements to become an appraiser?" Is it really so hard to distinguish what types of questions are appropriate for this forum?
The really scary part is that these people, who are either too lazy or too ignorant to figure stuff like this out on their own, are our peers and are representatives of the signing agent community. I shudder to think of what the quality of their work must be and how many times they have to call the signing service to get the simplest questions answered.
I think the only way we're going to keep it from getting worse is to just ignore these types of insipid questions and force these people to do their own legwork. I'd say we should point them to Google, but the last time I did that I got yelled at. Again.

If directing someone to do their own research runs a person out of business or off of a forum, they were not much inclined for being in business for themselves anyhow.
I still believe that a good deal of the insipid questions come from folks who have fun inciting the ire of regular posters. The best thing is to ignore the insipid posts like you have recommended. Advice taken.

No, you haven't yelled at me Brenda. At least not yet!
I agree with you 100%. On more than one occasion in here I've had it pointed out to me that the way I respond to some posts can cause "hurt feelings", even though I haven't said anything derogatory or rude, I've just been blunt. If people get their feelings hurt by something that simple, how are they going to handle a title company or signing service threatening their livelihood if they don't backdate (a thread I just read in here today) or something similar?
I think you're definitely right about the troll element. Some of the questions that I see in here, and the 3rd grade level of English that they're written in here HAVE to be a goof on us. I guess if people want to get their jollies by doing that, more power to them. Personally, I'd just as soon get my jollies on the internet by something more productive, like looking at porn or playing Yahoo Games

I don't think Brenda is interested in being an English teacher, CLBM, though she surely would qualify. I think she is interested in communicating with people who listened to >>their<< English teachers when they had the chance.
