first signing
Hi, Well I have been called by Wells Fargo for a signing, it is my first and I am nervous. The documents are comming UPS and should be here in the morning if not this afternoon. I will call the LO back if I don't get them in the morning. I've been pouring over the proceedures--setting the appt., proper ID, checking for stipulations, specific instructions from lender, and on down the NSA signing agent check list. When the package gets here I will pour over it and note the number of notatizations, signatures, initials etc. I am making a list of phone numbers and things to remember. If anyone has advice for a first timer please jump in. Does anyone get alot of Wells Fargo business? Is it considered "Direct work" or is it through a signing service they have? What is their billing proceedure? Thanks in advance Janice

Advice for new notaries
Above the menu of posts, click the "First" button. Go all the way to the very first post in June 2003, "Welcome to the General Discussion Forum." Read all the way to the last post today. You will find your answer many times over in the intervening messages, along with far better information about being a signing agent than you ever got in your certification course.

Thank you, I'll do that, infact for the last several weeks, I spend most of my time on the board in the archives and using search to answer questions that I have. This board is so full of information it's just tremendous. I am using the NNA course for an entry level introduction to the business. It has helped me.

I have done several Wells Fargo loans through title companies. They are fairly straight forward, nothing out of the ordinary. The document pacakges are usually fairly small in comparison to others I have seen.
Good luck!
