I'm in the beginning stages of becoming a mobile notary and I noticed that you said you were taking a course in Stockton and I was wondering if you had a good resource to go to, to look up seminars or training in the bay area. Maybe you could refer me to the person you are going to. Stockton is a little far though and I would want to go to a class closer to the peninsula

I took her class for notary and for signing agent . Her signing agent class, I feel any training is better then none. But there was a lot of hand outs a big binder full of paper I never need and it personnal wasn't very helpful . It was a day class and at the end she gave you a test for a signing agent the test is as good as the paper it was printed on. I feel hands on training going out with someone would be more useful . I didn't get to much out of her class for 175.00 . Good Luck

Thank you L I am committed now so I will just try to get as much as I can from the class.I was afraid of that reply but live and learn I should have reserched before the committment. There was a lady that said I could go with her but I have not heard from her for awhile she either changed her mind or has had no work . Do you live in Stockton or near by? Would you be intrested in me tagging along? If so or anyone else e-mail me at [e-mail address] would love to see a signing from the start to the end.Or what ever I could get would be great!! Jorge do a search for Notary signing courses in your area The NNA has one in San Francisco on 10-16-04 and maybe others .Hope that helped I wish I had gone to theirs now. Me

I first enrolled in the course offered by the NNA, which was their home course study on line. You move as fast or slow as you want. It took me several months to get through that. Then I took one of the classes that they have on loan signing documents, of which I had to travel to the bay area to attend, because they never offered it in the central valley when I live. Then when I thought I was ready, I took their test, on line again, and I was ready to start getting calls for loan signing documents. When I did my first signing, I was a total wreck. Everything I thought I knew from all the studying went out the window. My conclusion to this is that the only way your going to get any training ,is to get it by experience and hands on. I feel alot more comfortable now when I meet clients in their home. My suggestion is to try and get the home study course and take the test and then go for IT! Good Luck!!
