AMR Notary Pay
I was offered $35.00 to do a signing from AMR in Oklahoma. Has anyone had better offers from this company?

$35 is absolutely abysmal. I hope you don't take it! I find that a little insulting, actually. Stick to your guns and ask for more as I'm sure you're worth it. =)

I am stunned. And find it really hard to believe as, in my experience, AMR has always been very fair to their Notaries.

thank you Lee
I have a disgruntled employee (fired) for gross misconduct and a disgruntled signing agent at the moment. Actually I do have some Oklahoma City Signing Agents that do small package Signings for $40.00. They do not have printers or fax machines. We do everything for them and they were at $35 at one point, we provide pike passes and some are family, family friends and people who have come to us for training. We mark their documents for them as well. There are allot of things about my business that only a few people would know and if I explained the details most people would understand and agree. However, this is an attempt to discredit AMR. I can assure you that our Oklahoma Area Agents as well as National agents are happy and well paid. I could send out a call for support, but to be honest I don't have time. I'm sorry things turned out the way they did with this employee and this SA and I can assure them it had nothing to do with money but perhaps ego and a desire on their part to be somewhere or something else, and that is something I cannot control. I ask you all to not judge AMR by anything other than your own experience. We are growing at a an alarming rate and Loving it!

Thank you for responding. I did take one assignment for $35.00 as I was a newbie. When the next request came I said I couldn't do it for $35.00 and was told the fee could be raised to $40.00. I've done work for other companies and usually charge $75.00 for local signings. I just wanted to check to see if anyone else had been offered this fee. I know I should only accept assignments that pay minimum of $50.00 and will do so in the future.

I have been reading this board for over a year and have never posted. However, I find that I need to stand behind AMR Notary. I have done many signings for them and have always been paid well and paid promptly. When I was new, they were very helpful and I learned alot about this business from both Monica and Adam. I will continue to work for them as much as I can. They are great to work for.

Lee and Brenda and other Signing Agents who put us with us...we value the industry and we value you! Yep, we've trained many Notaries in Oklahoma and Long Distanced and just helped a few fill in the blanks in areas where they had questions. When I was in Real Estate and Property Management we called them Slumlords, we have no intentions of being A Signing Slummer Service ( new phrase, everyone remember I coined it!) It's close to Slimey Signing Service. Many people come through our doors and want us to train them and then they go out and compete with us. We take a chance.......Our Existing Signers take them with them for Ride Alongs many times and we do mock signings with them. They see and hear things about our customers while they are in our office. Some come who "claim" to already be trained but because we do so much of the business in Oklahoma they have been directed to us and they will work for anything they just need money. We don't offer them full pay up front...because many times we have to go right behind them and re-do the job immediately and with much humbleness. I preach not working for less than $50.00, however, that is if you are doing the ENTIRE JOB. Bringing it in and putting it to bed. I Believe in the never work for less than $50 as a general rule...and you can ask Brenda and Lee in their areas it would be an insult to offer them that and I would not do it. The lady in CA was paid well to based on the cost of Gas in her area and the hassle involved. We do what we can based on what we have in the job to work with....and believe me, you could not be paid enough sometimes, but to stay in business and be a GOOD BUSINESS we have to watch many things. Thanks for giving me a chance to explain and the heads up. I've been so busy. My baby girl had Senior Prom last weekend and Graduates in May. I'm going to miss her when she goes to college....but my ex is going to pay for it...so let her roll. I know where to find her! Monica
