Commercial Inspections - Margaret, et al...

Margaret, et al...

I received the following in an email which makes me wonder about prices. I posted info regarding inspections in a previous post. See what you think. If there are inspection companies paying this amount for UNLICENSED inspectors, I'd be interested. I have no licensing by Hud.gov like Margaret does.

I guess I am confused, which is nothing newm but I see no realtionship between a Notary function and property inspections. I have been doing apartment and commecial peoperty inspections for over 3 years and have never notarized any docs pertsining to that.

As far as notary services go, loan closings, refi's etc, I do nothing for less than 75 and usually at least $100. I require docs in my possession for review prior to ME making the appointment for the closing.
Do not underprice yourself.

I get 55 for commerical and 65 for HUD. The HUD inspections are residential and are vacant foreclosed properties. I do not get extra for over 50 miles. The only time this happened is when I was asked to do inspections in South Florida in an emergency. You agree to work a 150 mile radius. The HUD inspections only take 20 minutes and photo download and report. The photo download and report can take 45 min, so probably total 1 hour plus drive time. I do these in zip code areas so they are usually close by in the zip code I am doing that day. I do Florida and Ga. I am a trained inspector and have travel to take classes for both residential and commerical inspection
