Did one signing for Veri-Docs on February 4, 2005.
Haven't been paid yet.
Because it was virtually within walking distance, I accepted less than my usual minimum.
I'm not happy, based on that one signing.

I think you should contact them and talk to them, indicating you have not been paid; I have no doubt they will pay you promptly. It must be an oversight on their part.

Thanks Earnest_CT I turned down the guy that called me. He just sounded Fishy! and in to much of a hurry. Everytime I get a Rush job, it turns out to be a Burn Job. Gee! I think I'm getting a Second Sense about this Job!! Or I've been doing it too long, I'm not real sure which one. Ha Ha Thanks Again The Teddog

I have done a few for them and each time been paid within 2 weeks. I would call them and check on it. Must be an oversight because they are really good people and are not at all the type to not pay.

Yes, and they claimed the signing was canceled 3 days after I had already did the signing. I don't think I will be working for them again.

I most definitely would call the borrower to ask if they rescinded. If not, then I would confront veridocs.

I did one for them the beginning of March and was paid within two weeks. You can log onto their website and check the status of your check. I'd work for them again.

Are you talking about Veri-docs or Veridoxs?

I have successfully completed many signings for Veridocs; they were always helpful, courteous, professional and most importantly paid in a timely manner.

It is typically a $50 company but very easy to work with and they pay in a timely manner. I really like them.

I did a couple signings for them. Both times paid within 10 days.

I have done four for them in the last month. Eventhough they are a $50 service I'd work for them again. The signings are never far from home take less than a halfhour.

Sorry,
But, I'm going to buck the trend here. My experience with Veri-docs has been less than happy.
I did one for them a couple of years ago and, no problem, paid as agreed.
But, in the last 6 months ( in fact, late as last week) I had two scheduled with them. In both
instances the morning of the closing they cancelled out. Never a call...they just e-mailed me and assumed I read e-mail every day (which I do.).
Both these loans were "long haul" deals, meaning a drive one-way of 90+ miles was required.
Needless to say, my fee in both cases reflected that. But Veri-dox begged and pleaded for me to accept because "there was no one else."
Methinks there actually was. And when they found him or her and dangled a fee lower than mine in front of them, they accepted and I was out.
I'm not so put out about somebody else getting the jobs ( I seriously doubt both loans were cancelled under similar circumstances) as I am about the fact that in my mind there was "notary shopping" going on.
There's nothing illegal about that..It goes on all the time. But, it certainly does screw up ones schedule.
And, I post this because IMHO the company is far from lily-white as the postings would infer.
I'll take one more assignment from them and if the same thing happens under similar circumstances, it's GOODBYE. Life's too short and there are a whole ton of companies that pay me well and don't play games.

I'm going to buck the trend here as well. I did a signing for Veri-docs.com two evenings ago. It was my first for them. The document package contained a blank, loose notarial certificate; and the instruction page from Veri-docs.com instructed that I was to complete this loose certificate and send it back with the docs, in case I forgot to notarize one of the docs in the package. I thought this was quite suspicious, so I didn't follow their instructions. Rather, I returned the blank certificate along with the entire package. The pre-printed airbill had the docs going to Veri-docs, not to the lender, which was "Justlend".
While still at the table with the borrowers, after signing and notarizing the entire package, I double-checked the docs with a fine tooth comb. Each notarized document was carefully listed on a separate line in my journal, which is what I was trained to do by the NNA's signing agent course.
Well, today I received a call from Veri-docs.com, saying I forgot to notarize the Correction Agreement, Limited Power of Attorney form. They wanted me to send them a completed, stamped, loose certificate for them to attach to the form I supposedly forgot to notarize. I told them that I'd have to go back to the borrower's home and be physically in their presence while completing and stamping the notarial certificate. (I'm in Missouri, by the way.) They told me that wouldn't be necessary. I said I'd like them to fax me the document and I'll call the Missouri Secretary of State tomorrow during business hours, because I want to make sure I'm not breaking the law by completing a notarial certificate while not being in the presence of the signer.
Then they told me they were taking a lot of heat from the lender and the borrowers were very unhappy because of this delay. I told them I'd take care of it as soon as possible tomorrow, after speaking with the SOS.
Then I received the faxed document, which of course does show the notarial certificate completely blank. I'm 99% sure I DID notarize this document. I remember it because it had some unusual wording. Under the blank where I'd have printed my name, it said "Name and Title of Officer", which I don't remember ever seeing before. I REALLY believe I completed this notary certificate! It takes up the entire lower half of the page and is very obvious. If I missed a notarization that was this obvious, I have no business doing this job any more.
Because of the suspicious loose certificate, with the instructions to complete and return it "just in case" and then the phone call...I'm verrrrry, leary of this company.
I'm open to your feedback and welcome your suggestions.
