DocMaster

I haven't used DocMaster before to open and print loan docs. I have downloaded it and I did have a lender send me docs saying:

"If you haven't run DocMaster before, please
double-click on the program first. We will automatically build the
associations in the windows registry for the end-user.

Next, double-click on the attached blockument."

The blockument was a PDF file and when I followed the above directions I received an error message saying that the worksheet did not load. Since I know there's more than one way to skin a cat, I adjusted my print options so that the documents would print on legal.

I was running late and didn't have time to play around or make phone calls to try to solve the problem at the time. Saturday I visted the DocMaster Web site and read that the blockument would have a BLK extension. My email did not contain any such thing. I spoke with DocMaster this morning and was told the sender should have sent me the PDF file along with another link. I contacted the person who emailed me the doc and he doesn't know nothing about birthing no BLK extensions and just repeated:

"If you haven't run DocMaster before, please
double-click on the program first. We will automatically build the
associations in the windows registry for the end-user.

Next, double-click on the attached blockument."

... and that's his story and he's sticking to it!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

(MaggieMae_CA << Actually has never skinned a cat... No harm came to any animal during the course of composing this message board post.)

There's more than one way to skin a cat, ...

... but nobody's ever found a way the cat enjoys.

DocMaster can be difficult. I'd download and print the PDF instead, if it were I. If memory serves, the blockument prints automagically without the user being able to intervene! If you run out of toner, you have to print the whole document again, even if 99% of the pages printed OK. (Of course, I can be misremembering.)

Re: There's more than one way to skin a cat, ...

HI Ernest_CT... That's what I ended up doing... Printed the PDF... I thought that DocMaster might be faster and/or easier. It worked out. I did print the docs and they've been signed, sealed and delivered.

(Personally, I'd rather scale fish than skin a cat... If I had to choose between the two)

It's easier to scale a fish ...

... than to scale a mountain.

Glad to hear it worked out!

Re: It's easier to scale a fish ...

Ain't that the truth!... I need to lose some weight before I try scaling a mountain... I'll have to scale and eat more fish before I take on that task.

Seriously, thanks for your help. Have a great day! Smiley
