Dunn & Bradstreet collections

Has anyone utilized this service for collection? I'm considering it for on SS I have not received payment from.

If the amount in question justifies the cost of collection, you may wish to proceed directly to a
civil action in the court for collection. Outside of sending threatening letters and making annoying telephone calls there really is not much more that a collection agency can do.

Write offs ...

And in the day job, if the debtor has a good lawyer or paralegal or is just a good creative writer, anything under $70 (probably even $100) could be written off by the collection agency.

Work with legal services attorneys and pro bono for the low-income and we have TONS of ways to write creatively to get debts $50-70 written off. It's not worth the cost in time (never mind expense) to the collection agency to continue to try to collect once they realize they have a sophisticated debtor who "knows all the tricks."
