GMAC messy this time
I did a first and second mtg. last night for GMAC. They are usually very neat with thier doc preparations. But, oh my gosh. This time they messed up with wife's middle name as well as her name was hand-written on all the docs. It was a 1st and 2nd Mtg. so, guess what. It took a lot longer than the scheduled hour. The poor couple had to correct the middle initial and initial the change throughout the entire sets of docs. Then, to make matters worse, GMAC didn't even have her name printed on all of the docs. Only a few. When I called them they said, "Oh, please have her sign her name in the Co-Borrower's space and print it underneath." "Oh yeah, and have them both initial that change, also". Great night. For a measley $85.00 this signing took every bit of 2 hours with all the changes when a 1st and 2nd should have taken no longer than 1 hour. Especially, when the borrowers had no questions what so ever. I must have called the title company with error questions 3 times. GMAC goofed big time with this one.

$85 for a 1st and a 2nd???? That is ridiculous! Was this through GMAC direct or a SS?

Syvlia, it was thru a signing service. They caught me off guard with this one, too. It was a simple signing, at first, about 20 minutes from my home. They called me the day before and told me it was a 1st and 2nd. This company dooesn't like to pay a lot, but I've been with them since 1999. Great company to work for, usually.
