Getting Started

Please forgive me if this is a dumb question but I am brand new to this and have just resently enrolled in the Premium service of this website. My question is this - Must I now go to the Signing Services tab and register with some or all of the Signing Service Companies? or will I just receive a call from them if there is a Closing in my area? Please advised as to ge work.

Hi Arthur. First of all, it would be helpful to everyone on the board to answer any of your questions if you include your state in the author section.

You should sign up with as many signing services on this website and any others that you can.

You might also receive calls for signings if the SS's need a notary in your area and they look for a notary in the Find a Notary section.

Hope that helped.

Arthur,

First, it is best to include your "state" in your author name. This way folks here know where you are and what state specific laws apply.

Second, yes, you must do the work now and register with each ss you choose to sign up with. I do as many as I can when it is a "slow" time of month.
Be sure to use the "search" button for FAQ on this board or better yet read all of the post from the beginning for a wealth of information about this business. Good luck, Marla

Ditto to all that was said above. But a great piece of advice I was given was to type newbie, laser, briefcase and jargon like that into the search section and see what was written about your question before you ask it.

It has been also suggested to read all of the posts, which as you can see in today's messages, SamIAm_CA did, and you will learn alot.

Go get em and don't get discouraged!

Howdie Arthur, I'm in Clifton VA, but with traffic in our area I consider you as far away as Florida. The traffic has made me reconsider areas that I will travel to around "rush hour" to do a signing. I wish all of the metro area would go to slow growth. But as I go to Baltimore to visit my brother I will wave hello.

Read this first

Please use the orange search button and find message 33325 dated April 22, 2005. Then read all of the other posts starting at #1. It took me about a month to do so, but was well worth the time.
Sam
