How do i contact lender's directly?
Hello all, my first time posting on here.
Before i was a notary at my job - we used to call in various traveling notaries to do signing for us, and they all told me how they work directly with lenders like WaMu and National City Bank doing signups for them? One girl i know used to do only equity lines for WaMU and they emailed or Fedex directly to her, and then she sent them right back to the Wamu. no 3rd party involved at all. these signing companies all seem like a a bunch of BS to me, and i dont want to fill out 10,000 applications on their websites and give them EVERY LAST DETAIL of my life, only for them to NEVER call me.
anyone have any pointers on where i would even begin to tackle that topic? there are SO many 800#'s for the banks and i'd hate to waste days on hold trying to find out where to go to get in touch with the folks that coordinate the notaries for the lenders.
thanks, -Justin

Justin,
First let me say, if you post again (and particularly if you ask a question) I would indicate the abbreviation of the state you are in, as many responses are state-specific.
That being said, let me ask you - how long ago was it that that travelling notary indicated that she was working for WaMu (Washington Mutual) directly? I have handled a number of equity lines of credit signings for them, but it always has been through a third party, a signing service.

Re: How do i contact lender's directly? (in CA)
Sorry, it was my first time posting on here, and i thought my state showed up automatically.
and this was less than a year ago that i know she was BUSY doing them (as im sure most notaries were a year ago) ... quite a few per week. and as far as i know, she still works with them. we are not in contact as often, so i cant say for sure. (once i got my commission, i started doing all the outside signups)

Contacting them by email or phone might not get you anywhere. You could give your card to Realtors, banks and escrow companies in your area.

Re: How do i contact lender's directly? (in CA)
My friend works at a finance company, one of the largest companies out there and informed me they no longer close their own loans, they have notaries come into the office to close them. So I asked her to call the manager and see how do I get on his list. He said I need to come down and fill out some paper work. They keep getting the same two notaries and the notaries he said are terrible. I will be going in next week. She also said they own sister companies that need notaries also. I guess we just have to ask everyone.
