Is it me....?

Is it me or does anyone else agree that lending companies, etc... should request a copy of the SAME identification card that will be presented to the Notary during a signing for completion of the docs?

It seems like such a reasonable act, most companies want me to obtain a photo copy of the ID anyway, why not before hand for the sake of accuracy?

I received docs recently with the borrowers name spelled ( 4 ) different ways on the docs. With such important information I wonder....where’s the breakdown of continuity?

Frustrated, Carol_SoCal :o)

Carol_SoCal: Good luck! You'll need it.

Because the signing services and / or lenders are often under the gun to get documents out at the last minute, occasionally mistakes crop up. It is our responsibility to make sure the names, locations, etc., on the documents are spelled correctly.

Sorry; I know that's not what you wanted to hear....

"Good luck! You'll need it", "wishful thinker" might have been more appropriate :o)
