Network Meetings

I would like information on networking in the central Florida area. If anyone is having meetings I would like to have more info. I'm interested in starting one if not and could use some tips on how to find notaries in the area and what to do at the meetings. Thanks!

Who are you? Where are you located?

Posting anonymously is no way to instill confidence or drum up business and professional camaraderie.

Here we go again! PAW (THE GREAT) telling people how to run their life. What makes you think anyone cares what you say?

Well I care for one. This man offers more insight and assistance on this Forum than you will ever be able to accomplish.

He has forgotten more than many of us will ever know about this business.

Re: Who are you? Where are you located?

When someone anonymous posts they want to network with other Fl notaries, we like to know who this person is. I do not want to network with someone who does not give a name and location.
Usually when someone wants to set up a network meeting -as Paul has done in the past, we like to know who we are networking with.

I have never ever seen Paul tell anyone how to run their lives. He always posts useful information to this and other message boards. I think an apology is in order, but no doubt you are not the type of person to apologise.

Re: Who are you? Where are you located?

No wonder people post anonymously on this site! Every 5 or 6 messages is a bunch of oldies and newbies fighting and griping; completely missing the point. Downright intimidating to post here! The oldies always stick up for one another, and they just jump the heck all over the poster, dare they say anything the oldies take offense to. It's ridiculous! The other night I saw where this person asked a question, and about 5 people jumped her case. I get a lot from reading these posts sometimes, but it always seems to degenerate eventually into a bunch of BS fighting. Everyone seems so intent on showing how long they've been around and how that makes them so much better than someone else. If a newbie takes offense, well then it's that they CHOSE to take offense. If an oldie takes offense, well the whole dang world takes offense for them!! It's SOOO INTIMIDATING to post here because you have to be SOOOO DANG careful about how you word things. The littlest thing, and someone's jumping all over you!! And then all their friends start jumping. Like I say, I get a lot out of the conversations that are neutral, but the political stuff is just SUCH a JOKE!! (Can't wait to see how many people jump all over this one!!!) Ya'll should be PROUD of your knowledge and experience, and HAPPY to share it!!!!!!!

"Anonymous" . . .No "offense" taken...but...

This post is puzzling.

A good bit of those posting in Paul's on his behalf are not all "oldbies" but are newer people who have gotten a lot of help from him ( apparently ).

You, or someone with your IP, under the name "Mary" jumped into a thread and gave Sylvia some flack because she told another poster to check their notary rules. The original poster was not offended, but you, or someone with your IP, was offended.

You, or someone with your IP, said you had it all wrong about Sylvia and posted, as a result. "Sorry."

You, or someone with your IP, got answers here under the name "Dallas Notary." If some of the answers were not in agreement with you and/or others, that's because we all share our experience and views...and, well...this is a public board, for now, anyhow.

In this post you are "shoulding/shaming" the so-called Oldbies by saying "Ya'll should be proud of your knowledge and happy to share it!"

What exactly is it that you want?

Re: Who are you? Where are you located?

I think we all know who "Anonymous" is. His reply to PAW right out of the gate gives it away! If it was an honest inquiry about setting up a FL network they would not have responded that way.

Nice attitude. An attitude like yours will get you a lot of responses on this board, just not the ones you're looking for.

Good luck.

This is probably the same Anon who pretends to post advice to me on my blog as Sammy...

Hi Brenda.

I read your previous comment where you stated that you were going to post comments regarding the anonymous poster.

I would have to say that I don't think you should even bother with it because for all you know, you could be completely wrong as to the suspected identity. And your action could possibly lead to a slander suit or defamation of character lawsuit if in fact you are wrong.

Nowadays people sue for dunkin donuts coffee being too hot for cripse sake!

Just be the adult and just delete the anonymous posts. Sometimes its best that you just leave something alone.

Yep...some things are better left alone.

I have no proof or opinion that Korey Humphreys (a Mass Notary) is the one making your post or that of Anon 1 or Anon 2. None...nada...zip.

BUT...Take a look at post #29075 on NotaryRotary.com - in part it states:

"Korey, et. al. - [Ref: all the different handles/names/identities used]

Hmmm, I wonder if the blogger site I use can also tell where posts are coming from...how often they visit, etc.

Paw is one of the most helpful and kindest people that I have met in this business. He has gone out of his way more than once to lend me a hand. The only thing PAW ever does is help people. You need to treat people the way you would like to be treated yourself.. maybe then you will find people will want to help you

I don't normally respond to post from anonymous postings, but I feel like making an exception in this case.

It is obvious that you do not belong in this forum. You just don't seem to be able to get it! Why don't you just go on over to the GMN and post with your own kind. I think you will find it a lot more comfortable over there and leave this site to people who really care about the industry.

Okay...dang it...I love "THE GREAT PAW" a whole lot, too.

I dropped my membership to Expert Exchange because he's so darn smart I have my "own tech support" if I need it.
