New CA Jurat

For a loan signing that is going tobe recored in another state....
If there is a Juat included that does not comply with the new CA Jurat...
Do I add the new CA Jurat or use the one provided?
Thank you.

I'd follow the laws for my state after all that's where you're signing the docs.

Virginia will accept a notarial act that is valid in the state that it was performed. With that in mind, I would expect that they want it to be **valid**. Smiley

Add the new CA jurat wording.

You must attach a Ca compliant jurat. Civil Code 1189 allows for an acknowledgement from out of state to be completed, so long as it doesn't require the notary to make certifications not allowed by Ca law. Gov Code 8202, which covers jurats, does not allow for any deviation from the prescribed wording.

Just remember this: WHERE are you

You follow the laws of WHERE YOUR BUTT IS.
