I talked to you last week concerning my payment for the Reed signing in Pt. MAGU. The loan did close, so I do not understand the problem with paying me. I have visit your profile on Notary Rotary. It may be good advertisement for you. Here is the background story.
How unethical is it for a notary to subcontract a signing and then do not pay. The loan closed. I did 140 worth of notarization for a measly 100.00, and now he will not pay. I called numerous times, and his responses is : And "You are calling me at 8:30 in the morning on a Sunday and you want to be paid". Another good response is " I am having dinner" to which I reply, " Having dinner on my money" And that Notary is Keith Howard, Notary in my Back Yard . Check him out Notaries

You may be right Jon. I do not need a reply to this posting. Mr. Howard of Notary in My Back Yard knows it is for him only. If he is short with the money I can understand that, I was willing to work around that situation. But when I calls he hangs up on me. I will give him a few days otherwise I will go to all the forums. I have an extensive list that I can post to and also proceed with a lawsuit in Small Claims Court. In this day, like SSNotary mention, it is the only reason why I did not use my name. On the premier listing, my first & last name and picture would be seen. Thanks Jon, I do believe in exposing these rip off artist.

Erna, get over it, for gawd's sake! Korey's gone. Most of the allegedly "necative rude postings" were the product of your paranoia. And on top of all that, the reason the poster chose to remain anonymous had nothing to do with postings of the sort to which you refer. You said in an earlier post you forget and forgive, as long as you have made it known you won't be walked on. You've done that, so how about going on to something else? You are the only one who continues to thrash at that dead horse.

How about one more post in which you kick me really hard in the shins to let everybody know you're not taking this post laying down, then moving on to someting else? I suspect that will do more to rid the forum of "necative rude postings" about you than anything else you could say or do.

I hear Erna's a direct descendant of female Viking Warrior Freydis. Freydis was a gal who led an attack against natives in Vinland (aka Newfoundland) around the latter part of the 8th century. Freydis overpowered her two brothers for control of the Viking colony.

I am real nice to Erna ... her purported forebearer decided to get rid of her female competition and used her axe to kill all the women in her brothers' settlement. (Freydis was a sister of Leif the Lucky-- not one of the brothers she overpowered. )

Well it is becoming obvious to me who the spad's are. They keep rearing their ugly heads.
I don't tolerate rude arrogant people well, I can see how many newcomers would be discouraged and go away quietly, I get emails from a couple as they are just too afraid to ask questions on here so they ask by email . You don't only find bullies on the play ground. I much prefer pleasant and kind atmosphere, but I don't crumble in the face of bullies, my father did not raise me that way.

And if you're "more than happy to overlook" Erna's language inadequacies, then there's really no need for you to point out Erna's misspelling of the word "necative" (on more than one occasion I might add)...is there?

I for one think you don't have that much to say in a constructive manner either, Hugh. You are probably not aware but you used a spanish word in your post - "pronto". Interestingly enough, my father used to use it frequently when I was young (berfore I knew any Spanish). Its meaning in English is a little different though; in English it means like "right now"; In Spanish it means "soon".

I do that a lot. My daughter inlaw is Brazilian, I intend to use words from other languages I hear often without even realizing it. You should have heard my daughter when she had been here a short time, half the sentance was English Half was Icelandic. But she was trying. bless her heart.

Yes I love Latin languages. I know a lot of words in Portuguese and Spanish enough to follow a conversation but not enough to speak it. My son speaks fluent Portuguese. Portuguese is like a mixture of French and Spanish when you hear it spoken, you are right " melodic"

Go to Small Claims Court

Hopefully you have a confirmation, email, letter, or something confirming that you were subcontracted by this individual. If so, then file a claim in Small Claims Court. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do in order to get paid. Be sure to document everything. Did you send him an invoice, then a past due invoice?

Thanks Barbara, I plan on pursuing my fees through Small Claim Court.

Erna, you are absolutely right in one of the reason that I did not use my name. Like you, English is my 3rd language. My spelling and wording definitely is a give away. To some people that is considered reason enough to be unable to do the work as a Signing Agent. To the State of California, it is good enough. No need to even be a citizen. But you must have a clean record, which we both have, otherwise, any blemishes on your record could be cause for deportation.
Like Dennis said don't let them get to you. But you will realize in time that this board is really a waste of your time as the same few people will also cut to the chase in insulting you and others.

I too have lived all over the world and I have never experience anything like it. And then there is Texas, which is a country in itself. You would understand this if you had ever lived there. I did live there a few years ago, in Plano, Texas so I am speaking from experience. I realize that even as Anonymous, they will track me down through IP address and slam me. It is fine, I have tough skin. Just consider the source. Good nite, enough said.

Prejudice is very ugly. And to presume that if one is not born in a particular country one is less intelligent or less educated just shows that persons limited knowledge of the world. I have never encountered this before. I have also lived in many country's. Glad I have never lived in Texas by the look of things, and I have been told this about Texas before. I am lucky I am surrounded by nice people where I live, and meet nice people every day. I am a duel citizen and would like to feel good about both my countries, and most of my experience's have been good , will take more than a few bad apples. Some people just don't have any social skills , they are too busy being full of them selfs.
Sorry to hear of your bad experience's, I was watching what went on and then getting it my self. Did not expect this on a notary board. Your right consider the source and it won't mean a thing. Have a nice weekend.

In regards to track me down by Ip and slamm me. I did not know one had to hide ones IP on this board for safety. I do use a program when i surfe the internet expecialy when I have borrowers files on my computer as to protect their info. You can go to findnot.com and get acces to conection using their IP. You have to pay for it but it is a small fee.
