Phone Calls
Does anyone receive voicemails/messages from companies?
...I get a bunch of calls sometimes from numbers I don't recall, but it seems if I don't answer, they do not leave a message...
Anyone in a similar situation?

Yup. Happens all too often.
Frequently I'll see caller id on the home phone when I wasn't here, but no corresponding call on the cell phone when the caller could have reached me.

Re: Phone Calls - NEXT ?
Well, if the SS calls you and you don't answer and it is for a closing that day they just go to the next one on their list. I have even called the numbers back and they will "find" who called me and then that person says "I'm sorry but we had to find someone right away so we went to the next person in our data base, but we will call you if we have any other closings in your area." Makes sense to me.

Yes...it's pretty common until you have established yourself with companies and they realize you'll call them right back.
I have three tc's and three ss's which give me the bulk of my work. They leave me messages. The rest keep shopping.

It just seems kind of redundant then to give all these companies like 9 different phone numbers if all they do is try one number, don't leave a message, and just go on to the next person!
(I'm exagerrating with 9, but think about how much contact info we give....Home Phone, Cell Phone, Work Phone, Fax Number, Daytime, Night-time, Email, blah, blah, etc...)

This is what Ido. I only give one number, office number then i Transfear that number to my cell when I am on the road. That way I dont miss calls.

All 3 of my numbers terminate on my cell phone.
I was in a closing the other day and my phone vibrated, I rejected. Again, I rejected. Again, I rejected. All the same number...a Houston title company.
The borrowers needed a private minute, fortunately. I stepped outside the closing room and returned the call immediately.
It's funny, but I tried giving out just one number in the beginning. I kept getting requests to give them more. Now I have three numbers to write down. All of them terminate on the same cell phone which is with me at all times.
More expensive? Yes.
But, one of the numbers is from another cell phone I carry which allows me to call nationwide w/ no up charge and it also covers dead areas that my main cell does not.
The second number is an 877# which gives a little bit of an illusion that I am a "business."
