Signing successes

I am new to the signing agent business. Is there anyone in the Miami area that can give me some advise to becoming a successful agent or any other websites that I should list myself on. Thanks for any advise.

Welcome.

Please put FL in the name that you use on the forums so that everyone can see what state you're from.

Please go back through the messages here and read all of them. Yes, all the way back to the beginning. You will get an education. Also, please use the "Search" button before posting a question. You will find the same questions asked and answered frequently.

Good luck.

NEW NOTARIES:Please read today's msg's for New Notaries

New Notaries:

Please read all of the postings from today that speak to new notary signing agents.
Also as a good overview of the effects of what NSA's do and how bad one's impact our business in a negative way. Please read ALL of Msg # 31092. It is lengthy however it gives you a heads up on the "business."

***Take your notary public commission and take being a Notary Signing Agent seriously and STUDY, READ (read previous posts on www.gomobilenotary.com and on this site) LEARN and RESEARCH all that you can about being in business for yourself and the equipment that you will need to do this job, all that you can about the laws in your state, all that you can about MORTGAGE DOCUMENTS(mistakes CAN LEAD to you being SUED or with your commission in jeopardy) -BEFORE YOU THINK ABOUT ACCEPTING THAT FIRST ASSIGNMENT! Also keep in mind that learning about what fee's to charge and all of that is important, however, it is more IMPORTANT to know your JOB and DUTIES before committing to assignments, so that you are worthy of those fee's you request. ****

Doing all of the previous will allow you to answer many of your own questions and put you on the right road to being a professional and successful notary signign agent.

Oh please, give the girl a break will ya!!! She's got her commission, and she's certified as a signing agent with insurance and a bond. She even invested in the equipment! She has every right to ask for help and not get a stupid speach from you about knowing her job as well as you might or about agents who are "bad". All the crap you're talking about will come to her with time and "study", but she's in need of assignments and a little encouragement! Donna, some of the reply post do give some sound advice read them and take with a grain of salt the other ones that are a just a damn soap box. Personally, I contacted the escrow and title companies and have started getting some work. Good Luck Smiley

I agree with you Gabe. I am new here and people were very nice to me and it does help me. It does help me not only with notary stuff but to meet people and share with people.

Gabe
The help Eileen (not Donna) was asking for was advice on how to become a successful signing agent. Ted was right on with his response.

Eileen:

I'm sure you didn't realize this when you posted your question. When you ask another agent in your area to help you to become successful, you are really asking them to pass on part of their business to you. Do you think this is a fair request? This is a very competitive business and it takes time and lots of sacrifices and effort to become successful. There are no FREE short cuts. Perhaps 3-6 months or one year from now, you'll see what I'm talking about. Right now, you probably think I'm rude and condescending.

There is plenty to learn on this board. Read all the messages from start to finish. Trust me, there's more to learn than what few people who will respond to your post can give you.
