You might try searching for American Land Title Association. ALTA. Probably can get info there.
Also, go to Virginia insurance Admin.

Is the Title Insurance Certification required for Notary who do signings on all types of loan docs (including Home Equity, Refinance and etc.)? If not, which specifics type of docs required the certification? Where can I find more information on this subject? I would like to resume the signing business but unsure of the requirements.

Re: Title Insurance Certification - MD

Go to maryland insurance administration and read re: requirements for licensing.

this is copied from the notary handbook:

...., if the notary is the only individual other than the buyer who is present at the closing and the notary is presenting documents for signature which may result in the issuance of title insurance, collecting escrow funds, or otherwise performing and duty other than the witnessing of a signature, the notary must also be licensed as a title insurance producer.” Bulletin from MIA to Title Insurers, Property & Casualty 03-18, December 1, 2003.
