another question on field inspection
I know I know, someone is probably going to post saying this isnt a forum for inspections. But I know alot of us as NSA's do inspections as well.
I just wanted to ask if anyone has any recommendations as to what diagram sketch programs the use and would recomend. Any input would be appreciated.

I don't know the name of a program to recommend, but I do know that I have not been required to purchase one in doing the type of work that I do. When you get into insurance inspections, that's when you are almost required to purchase a software program.
Try searching Google.com for *field inspections insurance inspectors* or any combinations of words from that group to learn more. I think that's how I got the little bit of insight that I have.

It is called auto cad for computer assisted design. I am not required to use it in the inspections I do either but have signed up with companies that do require it. I did research a while back and there are a lot of them at various prices. Just do a "google" search and see what you come up with

ok thanks. I did do a google search and it pulled up a gazilion different programs, it was a little overwhelming so I thought I would ask. One company I am signed up with and am just starting to do work for said I would need one eventually, this was in their info pack so I dont know for sure if I really do need it, I just wanted to see what was out there.

What I found during my search for insurance/field inspection companies to list with was that the inspection firms had a specific program they wanted the inspector to use. Since it has not been necessary to date, I have not pursued it further.
