signing fee

Hello-
When asked for a basic notary fee, is that supposed to include the fees for each individual signature/notarization? I am new and am not sure how it all breaks down.
Thank you in advance

Few basics.

Pick a name which also identifies state your in. (confusion is not a valid state). i.e. I'm art in Maryland.
Fees vary from area to area.
Read this board. Use the search function. Use as key ords : newbie. Also use signing fee as key words.
Fees are not based on # of signatures or notarizations. We can allocate a portion of our fee to notarization fees, but we perform greater services which is why we charge what we do.

If you are asked to take a closing assignment, the fee is a combination of :
1. base fee
2. adjustment for distance and time
3. If docs are overnited - no adder
4. if docs are e-docs, add your e-doc fee er loan.
5. if both a first and a second, add a fee for the second loan (50% of bas fee is used by many signing agents.

examples: (use $80 as base fee, $30 for e docs - example purposes only)
a refi, 10 miles from your house, overnite docs. = $80
if docs are e-docs = $110 (80 +30)
first and second, overnite = $120 (80+40)
first and second e-docs = 180 (80 + 40 + 30 +30)

Please use search function - you can find a lot of answers that way.
