AOL users - firewall blocking e-mail ?

Received a call from NREIS to do signing. Was informed that they wanted a yahoo address because AOL firewall was blocking their mail - sending so many that they were being treated as spam. Hotmail doing the same.

Anyone else told this?

Art,
can you retrieve the docs through Outlook and bypass AOL?

AOL is my ISP but I never used it for signing. I switched from Hotmail to Yahoo not long after I started this business.

AOL, MSN (hotmail) and many RoadRunner accounts have started blocking many, many ISP addresses for whatever reasons. I have run into this problem from my own servers, from a couple of companies and the Signing Registry.

For those that have AOL or hotmail accounts, you may want to consider getting a yahoo account or a Gmail account. Gmail supports POP3 for their accounts, so you can use a PC email client (Eudora, Thunderbird or Outlook/Outlook Express) as well as web based email. I've never had any difficulties with my Gmail accounts, numerous problems with MSN and hotmail. MSN and Yahoo no longer offer POP3 mail service for their free email accounts.

If you would like a Gmail account, you must be invited to join. (Gmail is still in beta testing, so everything is done by invitation.) If you would like an invitation, send an email with "Gmail Invitation" to "[e-mail address]". (Of course, remove the quote marks.) In the body of the email, include the email address you would like to have the invitation sent to.
