Advice on e doc cut off times

Hi!

I received an assignment and I forgot to mention the time I needed the docs by so I emailed her. I told her I needed them by 11 and it is now 1220. I am supposed to leave for this closing in 20 mins. I have another closing after.

I am getting nervous due to my other closing. Any advice, would you walk away or reschedule the other closing so you can do both?

Thanks so much!!

If you've gotten no response from your e-mail, I'd suggest you call her.

The e-docs you are waiting for -- what time is the signing scheduled for?

I wouldn't reschedule my other closings.

They did respond letting me know they are waiting on them but don't know when they will get them. The closing is at 2 but it is 1 hr 40 min drive!

I would tell them that since you didn't receive docs by 11, you can now only do it later in the day. Don't let it interfere with your other appointment. ALWAYS give them a strict deadline to receive docs, and if they don't arrive, they find someone else or that appointment goes down later on your list for the day. You can't be sitting by the computer all day waiting.

Yesterday, I had 3 signings at local companies. One cancalled. On the other two, a document was missing and they got pushed today. Meanwhile, I turned down an out of state where the documents where at the clients house. So I did zero business. Give deadlines. Stick to them. Go for certain business.

Just be sure and let the borrower know what is happening, and that you will call again when you have printed the docs and are on your way. This give a good idea when you will be there. I have never had one mad, they seem to know that I am trying my best to get there.

Well, I gave the cut off time an hour ago and I think they had the docs 1/2 hr to late so I couldn't go at the time because of another closing.

I haven't had this problem before so it hasn't been an issue! I will know now. Not sure if the co will call me again but nothing I can do.
