Anyone else think that...

this has been a nightmare EOM? I think that things that could go wrong did and that either noone knew what they had for closings that day or that everyone waits til the last second to line up the signing. We had customers being told the docs were done and sent (by the title company) and they really weren't and we tell them that we're still waiting on docs and they say we're liars. I was almost ready to tell them my user name and password just to "show" them since I was sick of being told I'm dishonest and didn't want to do my job or something.

THEN, have the title company say that YOU haven't called the borrower because that is what THEY were told by the borrower when in fact you've talked to them twice and the third time, your on the other line when the borrower is calling and they have clicked over to get you. (don't you like cell phones and land lines where you can call everyone at the same time and they don't know it?

What a bunch of bull.

ps...I think we had refused a total of 15-18 loans for Friday and Sat because we already had 11 on the books.

I'm tired!

As a newbie, I sure wish I had more business than I could handle! Smiley

You actually had 11 booked for Friday and Sat and turned down 15-18 loan signings! I am shocked. I'm pretty busy, but not that busy!

When you say we had 11, how many of you handled 11 signings?

Re: Anyone else think that... Me? Never!

I always get confused when a person posts, (we). I'm confused as to who we is, another person, 2 other people or them and the frog in their pocket. If one person did 11, it is a wonder they got out of bed the next day. 2 people, that's pretty busy. Now if we is 11 people, Oh, Well! They can handle that.

"we" stands for 2 people did those 11 friday only...

I do have a network of notaries that take overflow or signings (from companies I have contracts with to do all their work in my state) that are closer to them than I, but for the most part I think the two of us average a good 30-45 loans per month each. That's average. BUT 11 in one day was a lot) Sometimes there's more some maybe less....but yes, there were double digits that were turned away because there was nothing more that could get done. We worked from 8am-midnight. Well worth it, but a hell of a lot of stress making sure the timing was right and things would get done. I have a notary that works with me that should her fiance had his license back they could've made over $2000 Friday alone with the calls they had. I had a closer (either faking it or serious about losing her job) crying and begging me to get a job done for her that day. I had companies offering me over $200-400 (extra fee on travel distances for the $400) just to get closings done. Made me think I wish I had some slots open because I could've made more with the fees they were throwing around. I never once had to negotiate a fee on Friday....whatever I had said, they said not a problem.

But, it was a stressful day.
