Assignment of Mortgage...Please advise.....

I notarized the Assignemnt of Mortgage in a set of loan docs I did tonight only because it had pre-printed my state & county in the notary block. Are mobile notaries suppose to notarize these? There were no signatures for me to witness. Since it did not have a specific line marked "Borrowers" I did not have them sign. Do I need to go back and obtain their signatures and was I suppose to notarize? Thanks.

The Assignment of Mortgage is not for the borrowers to sign, or for you to notarize.

Also, if you do a search on this forum, you'll get the information you need on that particular document. It's thrown many people off (myself included the fist time I saw it!)

There are lots of answers to your questions on this site, just search and you'll find them!
