Brother 5140 Dual Tray
I have a Brother 5140 with a single tray. I bought it at Staples. I've decided that I need a dual tray (and a smack in the head for only buying the single tray to begin with) and the guy at Staples said I need to upgrade the whole printer. Is this true or is there a way to just buy the needed extra tray for the printer I have?

Don't listen to the store employees, most of the time they do not know what they are talking about. I purchased my second tray from Amazon.com

I have the Bro. 5140 bought from Staples, which didn't sell the second tray. I went to e-bay and got it. No problem with the installation, and once the computer accepts the second tray, it's been working ever since. Make sure you now get, if you haven't already, another toner cartridge, the one that comes with the printer is only good for about 3k pages. If money permits get the toner cart. (there's two) that does the larger amt. of pages. Brother TN 570, but you check to be sure.

You can also go to google and just put the part number in and it will bring up all the companies that sell it. I got mine this way. Brothers wanted $179 for the tray I paid $104.
