Countrywide Bar Codes
I'm doing a signing for Countrywide through a SS. The only doc that needs to be notorized is the DOT, all the rest have "bar Codes" at the botton of the pages! What's that all about? There doesn't seem to be a HUD in this package either. They've been preparing this loan package for several days and still haven't gotten it right. Maybe they just forgot to include it. Any extra info would be appreciated. I did a search for Countrywide, but the info didn't answer all my questions about this lender. Lots of junk docs!
Thanks

Did one for them last night and quite a few others over the last couple months. My package was pretty much as yours, only I got a HUD. Just did what the package required and there were no problems, though I would question the fact that there was no HUD. More and more companies have barcodes on their docs. I'm beginning to see it all the time.

Call them about the HUD, don't give them an excuse not to pay you. I did a countrywide last week, edocs 175 pages. Took nearly two hours at the table.

Call SS and get a HUD

This is one that TitleGal could answer better than I. If I am correct in CA they can do an Estimated Closing Costs at the signing, but then they have like 48 hours to send them a HUD. Oh and I could totally be wrong as to why (ha probably am). But with the Countrywides I have done they use dynamicdoc's. You print them up and then sometimes they fax something like a dozen or so pages which includes the Estimated Closing Costs. I would just call the ss and ask them if there is a fax coming or if it was all in the e-docs.

per my wife..."The Loan Arranger", you should not sign or notarize anything below the bar code

Many companies have Bar Codes on their documents because many of the lenders are sending documents, once executed, to imaging, where the Bar Code identifies the borrowers and keeps all documents with their appropriate files. No more misfiling papers.
