Countrywide docs-pls help!!!

Hi--I just want to be sure that I am doing the right thing. I check this site out everyday for help and information & really appreciate everyone's input. I have done a number of CW docs lately & hope I haven't done anything wrong...There is a CA Acknowledgement after the Appraisal Disclaimer; the ack has the doc id# on it (which is the loan #). However, there is no other reference on it or page #. Should the ack have more info on it--should it be attached to or have a page # or?? Or am I freaking for no reason? Thanks so much for any input!

If you don't want a loose Ack. just write on the top of the page what it is for. That might make you more comfortable.

NY TaxLady-Since it's in-between the appraisal disclaimer & a page telling them that they will need a HO policy--I'm not really sure what it's for. Or, do you mean state something like refinance? Sorry if I sound like a dope--I'm usually not! Smiley Thanks!

Unless a document needs an ACK do not fill out a blank ACK. A lot of lenders will put these in the package and hope you fill it out . Unless this is attached to a specific document, it is just a loose certificate. Filling it out and sending it is illegal. Many lenders will send these in the package and hope you fill it out just in case they find they need one. Don't do it.

Think about it logically, what are you going to put in your journal. What is the document name, date of the document, what time did you notarized the document and are you going to have the client sign your journal for ACK regarding a document he/she did not sign? If you can't answer these questions you don't fill it out.

When I use a loose certificate I always add the document name and if possible a loan number. Hope this helps.

Do nothing with it, or better yet just throw it away. CW has been including loose certificates for no reason and I just throw it away, and never had a problem.

Toss It

There is always a blank cert in the CW docs I handle....I toss them and no one has ever questioned it. Never notarize a blank cert even if it is in the doc package.
