Don't accept there $50.00 fees. Give them yours and see if they bite. Most will negotiate.

I have my standard fees. I actually state in my profile that I have standard fees and that I expect to get paid within a reasonable amount of time. I cna not and do not have any time available for those companies who feel that they have to get the lowest possible price on everything. There is an old Chineese saying "the sweet taste of a low price is soon forotten by the bitter taste of poor quality" and this I have found to be axiomatic. This was an average month: I probably turn down as many jobs as I accept, you can usually tell when there are going to be problems by the attitude of the SS and then by the instructions they send you. When they require tons of FAX-backs, tell you how to dress and act, and give many reasons why you won't get paid they are usually trouble and I don't work for them.

Speaking as a voice of experience, if at all possible, steer clear from the title companies which pay such low fees as $50. I work for/with a friend who has a notary agency in our state and have found that these title companies will pile on the headaches and responsibilities YOU much deal with at such a low pay rate. I have seen thes companies set-up appointments for signings, only to arrive and have the client had cancelled many hours if not the day before. Or have an upset client from having dealt with the title compnay and I must put out the fires they started. After all this, requesting a raise in pay for the added headaches they pile on, and all they offer is $2-5 increase. I have severed dealing with such companies, since so many others who pay fairly and treat the Notary properly are out there looking for GOOD NOTARIES. Search for the good ones and they will come!!!!
