HELP! /wgat di U di biw>

Late Thursday night I got a call from a SS company that I have done several signing for, to do a closing on Friday at 5p.m. Not a problem. The documenst were to be e-mailed to me by 3. You guessed it, I didn't received them until after 4. (I swear that yesterday was Friday the 13th and not the 12th.)

O spoke with the borrower, not a problem, 5:30 is fine. Well, my printer went all heywire and I couldn't print the docs. (I live in the country and the nearest big city is over 25 miles away)

I find a place that I can forward the docs to, and they opened the docs and printed them out for me. (this place was Staples) they were located about 10 miles south of the borrower and thankfully she agreed to meet me to sign the docs. (She wanted to go shopping in that shopping center anyway.) We get the docs signed, there is a FedEx distribution center on the way home that sends docs out on Saturday, so I drop the package off there.

Well this morning I happen to be clearing off my desk and was looking at some the the documents that I printed before the printer went bellyup and discoverd that USPA wanted a copy the a photo ID, I had filled out a ID affidavit and thought that that was all that was necessary. (here is usually is).

So now what do I do?

Why don't you call the lady and tell her the situation then ask her to meet you someplace and get a copy of it and fax it to them. (I would call them and tell them that it was coming by fax)

Call the borrower and have her fax them a cipy before the 3 day RTC is up. Explain to her that she needs to do it ASAP so as not to delay funding.

You could also call the title company and let them know that the borrower is going to fax over a copy of her iD.

Many times the borrower doesn't know in advance that they need to provide a copy. Nothing in our instructions say anything. The loan package that I did last night had a form must of been the 80th page telling us they needed a copy. The title company and or lender say, just fax it. It would of been the same thing if you had gotten to her house and she didn't have a copier. Just call her and give her a fax number.
