Help!! Refilling toner on a HP1320

Finally decided to order the toner refill kit and hole tool. I've read the instructions for the tool and how to do the actual refill. I see on the picture the place that the fill hole is to be made but it doesn't look right to me. It looks like the tool will go thru a 1/4" rim and then be outside the cartridge. After another 1/2" would hit another part of the cartridge. I'm not explaining this very well. I just hope someone can figure out what I'm saying and lead me in the right direction. TIA

I know what you mean!!! I did it just like the instructions a couple of weeks ago and I damaged one empty cartridge. You need to make the whole exactly where there is a little picture that shows a thermometer (for the temperature) that is on a original HP used-empty cartrigde. That would be about half inch up from where the instructions tell you to make the hole.
After that it is a piece of cake.
Good luck

Thank you so much for the help. I did what you said and it worked perfectly.

I tried opening the hole with the tool and I think I went to far. The plastic little piece didn't just come out. I had to pull it out with pliers but it seemed like I melted further than I was supposed to. I'm afraid to refill and have toner go everywhere. Any ideas. TIA
