Help...never seen this type of notarization...
there a form I have to notarize in this loan package that has this under my name...
___________________________ Notary Public, State at Large
Do I need to put my state after that? I think I just leave it since it sounds like it's just saying for the state ref. above
any help? thank you

It can depend on your state. Requirements vary. If it applies, leave it as is. I think some states (Louisiana ???) your commission is only good in your home parish (same as county in other states). Also, is the venue typed in? Does your state require a stamp and does that show county?
Post state your in for more exact answers.

Re: sorry Art...MN
just leave it like that...I'm a state at large notary also and have had a few of these, and yes you fill in the county where you are doing the signing

Re: sorry Art...MN
I'd leave as is. I think MN commissions are good thruout the state.
Does your state require you to print name below signature? MD does.
What I did was have a stamp made up 3 lines:
John Q. Jones Notary Public, State of Maryland My commission expires September 20, 2006
Type is relatively small. Can fit in tight spaces under signature, or right next to it if no space below. (I hate attachments!). Also, this lets me use the area where they have "My commission expires......" for my stamp. You know how it is with lack of space for a seal.

Thank you both
I knew of course the cty and everything, but that was a first I had seen State at Large. I wasn't going to put anything in there but I thought I better ask...didn't want to "ASS-U-ME"
Thank you though.
And ART...what a good idea about the stamp.
In MN we can notarize throughout the state.
I looked at the laws and it only says that your title (and Rank) have to be there with the comission expiration, but doesn't say needs a printed name below.
