Maybe I'm wrong ,but?

I've always respected the chain of command (so to speak) . I know when I take an assignment from an ss that I've agreed to do my job at a certain price on that level (3rd party). I am finding more recently that there is a trend towards the lenders wanting to hire direct because of the old age problem that the right hand versus the left hand ,for some reason, does not seem to communicate. I keep finding myself in the position of ss's telling me to communicate to the lender/title/consumer, when docs are not on time or missing hud's etc. I think my customer service skills are quite good, but I resent being the messenger when two parties (who should know which side the bread is buttered on) have such a basic lack of respect for their clients and expect the notary to take the flack for their lack of communication, expectations, etc etc etc...... Why is it (and I really do know this answer...app fees..) don't lenders require a legal photo ID when you apply for a loan? I actually think it's a great idea for lenders to start going direct, at least when there is blame it can't be misdirected. Maybe I'm just having a bad day, but I would really appreciate others feedback. Thanks.

When working for a SS you should let them know if docs are late or if you think page's are missing. Its the SS's job to follow up and make sure you have an answer from them or the TC or Lender.

Now for ID - It's the lender or TC who will request a picture ID, NJ you do not need a picture ID to prove who you are.( This has caused some issues when borrowers don't have picture ID what PITA)

Sounds like you had a tough day and shrug it off.

Mike - What do you mean in NJ you don't need a picture ID? What do you use to identify a person?
