Nations

I assume it was nations direct, but the guy talked so fast, i never got to ask. He just said Nations

Calls me today at 4 pm, "I have a signing in your city, mapquest said 17 miles from you, can you do at 7?" I ask, email docs. He said, :no, borrowers have package already. Just need a notary. I can pay you $40:

I said, my fee is $75, I can not take less.

He talked to dang fast.

He said, "ok thanks." Click.

No confirmation came, no email, no other calls.......until......7:10 pm

a woman, "are you at the bla bla closing" Who i asked. She repeated. I said, I do not have a scheduled closing for that name. What city is it in and where are you from. Tell her of my earlier call. "Oh, I know who you spoke to, I am sorry. He is new. Let me see, I have you confirmed for $75 signing at 7pm today. Can you go there now"

Yeah, with my 4 year old, after I eat dinner. Sorry. I am in a restaraunt right now just getting my food. Why did I not receive a confirmation?

Now, I have never worked with Nations before. Are they usually this crazy? And are they a $40 SS too?
I know, bad way to start out with a company, but was I wrong? I had no way to confirm with borrower, get directions or anything.

You should never do a signing without a confirmation. You stand a good chance at not getting
paid without one. A confirmation is your proof that you were hired to do the signing. Smiley

No... you were not wrong. What I would do is email them & explain what happened. Your extra effort to CYA and let them know this was NOT your fault may net you some 'good' business from them.

That happened to me with them before, too. It was 2 days before Christmas. I never received a confirmation after the initial call. I had their # in my cell from the caller ID and I called them 3 or 4 times to question about it. I never heard anything back. I got calls for 2 more signings for that date/time period and took them. While I was at one of those closings, my cell phone rang and the borrower from the Nations closing wondered where I was. It took me a few min. to figure out what he was talking about b/c I never saw or heard his name since I had never received a confimation.

I've got no problems with Nations Direct. They've always paid my fees and have always run a professional business. Probably was just some "new guy error."

I thought it was Nations Signatures...so many SS with Nations and Nationwide in their name...I can't keep up!
