OT -- Katrina

I live in the L.A. area, but decided to surprise visit my mom in Biloxi, Mississippi, this week. Arrived Thursday morning, just in time for the storm. Yikes! We're about two miles inland as the crow flies, but can't evacuate because my mom's a nurse. All hospital staff have to report to the facility by 6 p.m. tonight for lock-down (to make sure they have enough people to cover all the shifts). So mom, two dogs and I will spend the night in the hospital. Guess if you can't evacuate, a hospital's as good a place as any to take shelter. Anyway, all of us in the swath of this monster appreciate your prayers!
