PRELIMINARY DOCS
Got a call last night to do preliminary docs. No notarizations, mostly RESPA docs. Anyone else come across this?

My guess it's getting a loan application package signed/nm

The first call I received a SA was to do a RESPA. So, they emailed the docs, I took them for signing, did a pick up of their bank statements, appraisal check, etc. and sent the entire package back. Nothing to notarize.
By the way, that was with SigningStar in Denver!! I informed her that she was the first call I had received, and she helped me thru it. I was fortunate!

Brenda do you mind me asking what the fee was? and how long it took?

Not Brenda, but ...
Signing Star paid me $75.00 to do a RESPA packet. There was only a few pages to print and it only took about 10 minutes. (That's if, however, the borrower already has all of their stuff ready like bank statements and tax returns)

SigningStar paid me $85, that was to print the docs, deliver them, pick up huge stack of bank statements (the prospective borrower was a business person) and to fax back some pages, then send them out. Being my first assignment, I thought it seemed like a lot. But, Lynda at SS was very fair.....!

I had a Respa signing from SigningStar, it was quick, no notarizing. Just an application and a few other things, picked up their W-2s, paycheck stubs, ID, insurance info, made sure they signed and initialled everything, and left. Took about 20 minutes.
