Paid today!!!

Very surprised and very happy but I got a check in the mail from Notary on the Run for the full balance owed. I performed the signings over 2 months ago. Now I will cross my fingers that when I deposit the check it will go through. :>

It took some getting used to since I am a city girl, but I really enjoy it now. The heat doesn't bother me as much either. The pace is a lot slower, but the people for the most part are friendly. The majority of us out here aren't native to Riverside, we all moved basically to buy a home. I can't believe just how much SD has grown, especially since it was already congested when I left! It's a gorgeous city though, and the weather is to die for, but the price tag to live there is outrageous. I do go down a lot though, to visit my family and It's always nice to go home.

I agree it is pretty pricey, we were lucky enough to buy a home 2 years ago but the cost of living here is pricey as well... My husband is always trying to convince me to move like to Riverside or Murrieta. Its hard to leave this city especially after living here all of my life. You are courageous for taking that step.

Thanks. It took a lot to finally get me to agree. My husband had been wanting to move since 2002! I could kick myself now because we woul've gotten a better price for our home, but we still got a great price compared to what we would've had to pay in SD. We're in Moreno Valley. We started out looking in the Murrieta/Temecula area but since my husband's work was in Ontario and my office in San Bernardino, MoVal was closer and about $60K less expensive. What is your email?

Congrats on getting paid SDgirl... keeping my fingers crossed that it goes through for ya - I'm sure it will.

Just thought I'd jump in too since I'm a SD native too. Grew up in Santee, then moved to Temecula almost 6 years ago when my hubby and I got married. Moved up here so we could buy a new house. Small but nice and it's what we could afford. Wish we could have done it a few years earlier too as we could have gotten a HUGE house for even less than what we paid for ours. But at least we got in when we did. Anyway, my fam is still in SD too and I am always down there to visit. Used to work down by Fashion Valley (and commute every day - ick) before I had my twin girls last December and decided to switch careers to be home with them.

Anyway, enough rambling about me. Just thought I'd say hello to some other SD natives. :>

Thanx - very slow right now but hopefully things will pick up. I'm getting a bit discouraged by all the negative posts I've seen lately on the industry, but trying to keep a good outlook.
