Piggyback

I'm doing a piggyback today and on the closing instructions at the bottom of the doc and has an acknowlegement and then the closing agent has to sign. Am I the closing Agent? Also on the top of the doc it has the lender, the borrowers and then it says to closing agent: (it has the title companys name and address).

you are the signing agent. Your role is to verify the ID and signatures of the borrowers. You are not an agent for the lender. Especially if you were hired by a ss What are they asking you to do. Some want you to verify the address of the lender....How would you know that? especially if they are out of state....

No, you're not the closing agent. It's usually the title co. If in doubt, call them.
