Question for Florida notaries

I have a split signing...property located in Florida...wife lives here in RI. She is signing first. I will obviously be notarizing her name only (Jane Doe, Only) but do I attach a loose certificate or can I leave it for the 2nd notary (located in FL) and I use the wording on the DOT?

Thanks

You needn't attach a loose certificate. The Fl notary will handle that. You are right to just have for Jane Doe, only.

RI & FL notarization ...

First in time gets the form on the document.

Use the notarization form on the document, conforming it to RI requirements or what the title company requires as long as it doesn't conflict with RI law.

The FL Notary will attach the notarization block for the 2nd signer in compliance with Florida requirements. For example, a FL notarization block would include what the Notary used to identify the signer.

Re: RI & FL notarization ...

Just so you feel a little more comfortable getting it from a Florida Notary...Both the above are correct.

Re: RI & FL notarization ...

Thanks for the info....Bobbi, what areas do you cover in CT? I get calls for Danielson and other towns bordering RI and I never have anyone to refer them to.
