Request a mentor in Northern CA

Hi,

I too would really like to find someone I can call for a mentor! I have done only one signing, so i am not eligible for 'justpointandsign.net'.

My questions are probably silly to some of you, but I have worked on a checklist, and I'd like someone to review that. Also, I'd like to put together a list of questions to ask the loan companies, title companies and signers when they call, so I'm sure they have their act together.

I am in So. cal, but maybe I can help you with some questions. My personal e-mail is amadapreciado@yahoo. If you do a web search for a mobile notary in maybe one county over from you, they may be willing to "mentor" you via e-mail. Good luck!

Join The Signing Registry!

They have an outstanding mentor program and their message board is awsome. Go to www.SigningRegistry.com. Good Luck!

When did you join the Registry? I see no-one by your name as a member, either of the SR itself or the Message board???

I am in San Jose, CA.

And I just checked signingregistry.com - they require 12 signings to register, so I am not eligible. I got my comission last year, but am still hesitant to get started.

Laura
You can register and join the Signing Registry. But until you have completed 12 signings your profile won't be visible to companies looking for signing agents.
When a company finds a signing agent at the Signing Registry they know that it is not a brand new signing agent with no experience at all.

Go ahead and register and enjoy the benefits of belonging to a professional organization.

*The SR is a First-Class Organization*

Laura - everyone is right! The Signing Registry is wonderful and is owned and operated by a wonderful lady, Ms. Kathy Poston. I am a charter member, like Miss Sylvia.

Laura - I teach for notary classes including the loan signing class (I teach San Diego mainly). I am dissappointed to hear that your experience was not what you expected. Would you mind emailing me directly so we can talk and try to make things right? We all want you to feel like you left our class with some great information and materials to get you started and I'm proud of the terrific class I teach. Here's my personal email address: [e-mail address]
Look forward to hearing from you Smiley and thanks in advance for your time!

OOps!

Laura - you are still welcomed to contact me but I responded with an apology about your experience with notaryclasses in error! In re=reading your post, I see I responded to the wrong post which was brought to my attention by another SR member. However, I'd be happy to help you anytime!. And my statement still stands: THE SR IS FIRST CLASS kelly
