Signing Star Services
I have been attempting to get paid from Signing Star for jobs performed in April, May and June (same borrower for May and June - br requested me, that is the only reason I did the one in June). I believe other notaries should be aware of they type of company they are. I do not want others to experience any of the same issues I have. Please see Lynda Doye's emails I received today. These were triggered by a posting I made at gomobile inquiring if someone else received their payment.
Dear Lisa:
A gentlemen who works for us discovered your posting on “goMobileNotary.com” last night.
I see you signed a RESPA for us in May.
Have you been paid?
Are you owed money by SigningStar Services?
We are in the midst of an audit due to some incredible errors made by people who worked for us.
If you have unpaid invoices, please send them to me immediately.
1) Invoice
2) Notary Signing Report
3) If a loan signing a copy of the settlement statement
Once I receive the source documentation and it is verified against our books and records, I’ll send you a check.
And, by copy of this email I am asking our central order processing to never use your services again.
Thanks so much.
I look forward to receiving your information.

One more.... Dear Lisa:
This is the email that I sent to you on Thursday.
Have you responded?
Or, did you merely decide to participate in a chat room online?
Please respond as quickly as possible.
We would like to terminate our relationship with you as quickly as possible.

I explained to to Lynda that I have already sbmitted the notary invoices, my personal invoices (a few times now) and that I do not retain customer settlement statements on my PC (or keep copies) once I have printed them (as to protect the customer).
Why can't she just pay me for services rendered????

Did she think you would ever except a signing from them again. free work is easy to come by.

They called my company yesterday for a signing. We refused.

You must be kidding. They didn't want to do business with you. Did everyone else turn them down and they thought you again would work for nothing. Take them to small claims and call the BBB.

I contacted the NNA regarding keeping copies of the settlement statements, here is thier reply:
Thank you for your inquiry.
Hi! I answered your post on GMN, and decided to put it here too. Here is the answer I got from the NNA regarding keeping copies of the settlement statements:
While there is no Notary law that addresses keeping copies of loan documents, it would seriously compromise the privacy of the signers involved. Loan documents often contain sensitive information, and a Notary who keeps copies could be liable if private information were to be misused.
This was my answer re: reciept of my payment
We look forward to serving your notarial needs.

Not yet! Still jumping through hoops! Guess this msg board pissed her off. Got an email from her telling me that I had to delete my message from the board, since, according to her, I lied on here about the amount due, so I re-added all my invoices and guess what? They STILL total 1030.00. However she states that if I do not delete this message and tell you that I was wrong then she will hold my checks, which she says are ready, until I do. But in an email from her accounting dept yesterday, it said that they weren't finished going through everything on my invoices, and that she would be out of the office on Wed. and Thurs. and would process them when she returns on Friday. So...which one is correct? I told her that, once everything is ressolved that I will come back to the board and let everyone know that she was reasonable and took care of the matter in a timely matter, once she responded. I also delete all loan docs once they are printed. They "dropped the ball" on thier end by losing the paperwork. It's my understanding that someone there really messed up, BUT, why didn't they just contact us and let us know that they were auditing things and that our payments would be late? That I wouldv'e understood, no big deal. But instead I could never get an answer to any requests for payment once, I guess that P-- was gone, everything was ignored. Then she blows her cork when we start demanding to be paid. All it would have taken was just a call or email or even a fax letting people know that things were being taken care of and that we would get paid. If they wanted the copies of invoices etc. how were we supposed to know that since until we FINALLY got a response from her, we didn't have a clue what was going on? I'm glad to not be in her "database" any more! Working for "free" sucks!

Lol, they sent you two emails telling you how anxious they were to terminate their relationship with you and then called you for another signing? I take it they're not the MENSA of signing services.

Yes, I thought that was very ironic!

My original posting was completely innocent and should not have provoked her in any way. I was speaking with pwconotary to see how their dealing with Signing Star was working out.

Lisa- I agree that your post should not have invoked her anger. Your emails look a lot like mine from her. She keeps telling me to let everyone know that I am "no longer eligible to sign for them" . Like that breaks my heart? LOL. I do get a lot of amusement and entertainment from her emails though. I have a feeling we'll probably end up in court with this one! Oh well, such is life! After all, HOW DARE we question her!!!!LOL! Sorry, just had to vent a little!

I just want to get paid for services rendered. Is that to much to ask?? (Apparently it is!)
