Signing agent market in FL
I am a notary in florida and I am considering getting into the signing agent field. I have done lots of research on the field and know that it takes hard work to get established. However I was wondering if anyone knows what the market is like in FL. I am weighing the pros and cons and I know some states/areas are more viable than others.

Where are you in Florida, some areas are too saturated.

Tampa Bay area
I know the Tampa Bay area is saturated! I know of at least one experienced signing agent who is having to consider looking for other work as the area has got so saturated he is not getting the work he used to. There are just too many signing agents in the Tampa Bay area.
(I am not in the Tampa Bay area - thank goodness)

Where are you in Florida? The metro areas are pretty well saturated, as well as the whole West coast. Do you have a RE or Mtg background? Too many factors to give a straight answer.

The Treasure Coast (east coast) is pretty saturated as well. I can pull up over 50 NSAs in my county along (St. Lucie). However, the center of the state, especially around Okeechobee, seems to be under-saturated.

I am in the Tampa Bay area. I have a very limited Mtg background, no RE. If I get into the field I would have to do a lot of work to familarize myself but just not sure if it is worth it.

I recently did a check on the number of signing agents there are in a 30 mile radius of my home. I came up with 167! I would say my area is saturated! I live one hour north of Tampa.

Remember, there is a distinct difference between quantity & quality. That is a large number of signing agents, but that does not mean that work for you isn't there.

I'm in Central Florida and service mainly Polk County and parts of Osceola and Lake and not that many notaries out here in Polk. But I think a lot of notaries from out of the area who have lower fees are getting the jobs since I have turned down a bunch and a friend told me she knows they go out of the area. Apparently some notaries are willing to travel just to make the 50 bucks!
