Split Signings

I just want to clarify please! I did a signing tonite with the husband and I will be signing the remainder with the wife tomorrow. On the NRTC, should I change the date of signing to the date of the wife? Thank you!

Yes, clock starts when last person signs

Clock starts when last person signs - FOR THE LENDER ...

Each individual with an interest in the property has their own RTC with their own starting and ending dates. The first signer's RTC starts when he/she signs and expires a minimum of three business days following. The second or subsequent signer's RTC starts when he/she/they sign their own notice and expires a minimum of three business days following.

For the lender, nothing can be done until the last signer's RTC expires.

Each signer has thier own RTC date
H's starts on Mon, W starts on Tue
Make sure that they sign seperate RTC docs, Make a Copy if necessary and manke sure each gets two copies of their RTC doc with the correct dates.

The problem with the RTC is that they're both on the same RTC. What should I do, just change the dates?

Call whoever hired you and ask them what to do.

If e-docs, simply print another set of RTCs, correct date and have wife sign. Also initial change.

If not e-docs, zerox what you have, white out the husband's signature, rezerox. white out again if anything still shows, recopy. Take to wife, correct date, have her sign and initial.

Echoing Art_MD

Just remember, you must _not_ have whiteout on any signed docs! That's why Art said white out and photocopy.

I agree with Monica, call and ask. I'm in CA and I was told RTC starts with first signer not second signer.

Just passed the SR exam and I missed the question of RTC by stating the RTC started with the first signer.
