Superior Title (FL) small claims

Won a small claims judgement yesterday for the $2500 this title company owes us. The owner has indicated that he *still* wont pay up regardless of what the judge said, so I advised him I would make sure everyone knows about him. No longer worried about a slander lawsuit since it is now a matter of public record.

It is Superior Title Inc, 5100 N Dixie Hwy, Ft Lauderdale FL. Owner's name is Stephen LaLonde. Please note that there are several other Superior's in FL that are not connected to him in any way. In fact, another one in Deerfield Beach just won an injunction against him to stop using the word "Superior" as they are in the same area, and he was apparently misleading people on purpose.

Just an FYI!

Thanks for the heads up. I have a Superior on my A/R, but appreciate the info with address so I can check against my records. BTW, Congratulations! Glad to see someone getting a judgement against these deadbeats.

Hey Crystal..Sherry from SLB here...Congratulations girl!! I am glad to see that justice was served. It gives me some hope for my lawsuit. I will be going to court (unfortunately not small claims) against a former client at the end of September (after a year and a half of delays on his part). Hopefully, I will recoup the $20,000 that he owes me..Cross your fingers!

For $2500 I'd give it a shot, plus put the fear of God into these deadbeats. A lot of times these guys think just because you've got the judgment you can't collect and their wrong! Don't break the law, but do check the web to see what you can do! I know that you can attach bank accounts and business assets. They'd be out of business if you attached their computers in payment for their debt! If you don't want to do it there are judgment collectors who will do it for half or buy your judgment outright. They absorb all the costs and do all the filings. You can collect! You know the old saying "Knowledge is Power"! I'd give it a couple of months though, that way they can't file any appeals. At least that's the way it is in California.
Good Luck!

You can send a keeper (Marshal) into his place of business to collect any money he is receiving until your debt is paid and he has to pay for him to collect. I won a law suit and he said he wouldn't pay and I had his car attached by the Marshal and he had to pay an additional $300.00 to get his car back. Good Luck!!!

I had a case that I won a judgment. I had to take it a step further to actually get the money. I had to go I think to the country clerk and register the judgment Then to the sheriffs dept. to have them slap the lien on what ever property is available and enforce it.

Be sure to have the Judgement certified and recorded by the Clerk of Court in the county that you filed the suit in and in Broward County.

I wish you luck. These deadbeats screwed me out of $$, but I was happy to get something rather then nothing. Call or email me if you need more help. Search zip 32960 for my contact info.

Way to go Crystal!
