Two calls - Same signing

I know I've seen this situation come up on this board before, but I did a search and couldn't find anything.

I got a call from a company for a signing that I was already assigned to do for another company...

The title company that called me was confused and so am I.

Has this ever happened to you, and if so, what did you do about it?

All the time

Take whoever offers you the most....cancel the other one. If this bothers anyone, just remember--they will do it to you by taking the cheapest notary & telling you the loan cancelled.

Re: All the time

Good point!
As it turned out, there were actually two sets of documents for two different properties for the same borrower. Why one was assigned to a signing service and the other to a title compnay is anybody's guess!

Re: All the time

You should have taken them both! You could have gotten two fees for two signings with one trip.
