getting milk delivered to you house in glass bottles? Milk never tasted the same once they started putting it in plastic jugs. Went to the local farmers market early this morning to pick up some fresh veggies and Rocky Ford Cantelopes and one of the local dairys had a booth there, they have home delivery, and were marketing thier new switch from plastic back to good old fashioned glass bottles! I just had to buy 2 half gallon bottles, and couldn't wait to get home and see if it tasted as good as it did when I was a little girl. Ended up drinking about 1/2 of one of the 1/2 gallon bottles, it was soooo good, MUCH better than the milk in plastic jugs!! Anyway just a trip down memory lane for some of us "older folk..." LOL!

More OT - milk chutes

Remember as 'the little person' having to crawl through the milk chute to unlock the door?!

I, for one, would LOVE to have fresh milk delivered - I bet there's a huge untapped market out there for those of us who would sign on for that!

That is one of the things I miss since I came to the USA, having the milk delivered in the glass bottles. They still deliver in glass bottles in EngandSmiley
